Solved Computer will not execute/go past the desktop

May 12, 2013 at 12:48:45
Specs: Windows Vista
Ever since "Vista Defender" popped up on my machine I have not be able to get past the desktop. According to microsoft there is a corrupted file in my sys32 files. I did purchase a disk to install win 7 over this thinking that would correct the issue. However, I can not get on the internet and my cd does not recognize the disk. Please help me as I have no idea where to go from here. I also tried to bring up in safe mode but will not let run diagnostics because it does not recognize my admin log ons.

Nice googling Derek.

Copy & paste the contents of the logs after you run each program please.

If any program won't run ( due to the infection ) let me know.

I've been away for a week.

I hope the virus is fully removed. Sometimes it takes more than one program to ensure a virus is eradicated - hence Johnw's request for the logs.

If you happen to pop back and you now feel quite certain all is OK then please select a Best Answer to mark this post as solved.
