Boot to a Windows Vista dvd and see if you can use the repair tools.

Text, talk, drive...CRASH.

Hang up and drive @#$%^^

The touchsmarts are notorious for bad hard drives. Almost every one that I have worked on has a bad hard drive. I think that because it is an all in one unit the drive over heats due to crappy cooling.

Anyway, you can try to tap the F11 key when you turn the computer on. This should take you to the HP Diagnostics and Recovery tools.

Run all the tests in there on your hard drive.

My computer did not boot past the logo screen. I went out and bought a new hard drive and reinstall the operating system and this cleared up the problem. I had a bad harddrive. Thanks a million for the tip.
