Computer doesnt like to Sleep

Specs: Windows Vista, HP
hey there,
I'm fairly New to Vista and am trying to get it all figured out. Anyways, the problem ive ran into is that my computer doesnt want to stay in Sleep mode. I like to put it to "sleep" when i go to bed. Occasionally it will stay in sleep for the night. But most times it will either turn itself back on right away or sometime throughout the night so when i get back up in the morning its turned on.
Any idea why it wont stay in sleep mode, or why it turns itself back on right away???

thanks

sleep and hibernate are mostly designed for laptops. For a desktop I wouldn't recommend it.
Why not just let it kick into screensaver mode?

I guess i could? i just figured it was there to save energy. Thought it would be good for the computer to "sleep" at night so its not constantly running. If running it 24/7 isnt going to potentially cause problems then i'll leave it on????

Yes and no. Everyone has their own conclusions on that.
You can also set the HD to shut off after a specified time and even the monitor.

Maybe you have SP1 on your pc. If so try to read this article which explains you why your computer can not go to hibernate mode. .
