Comment:

I have a PC, an Optiplex 760, that I have made a reference copy of Vista and then Sysprepped it. I then clone the drive using a cloner. Well, when I take said cloned drive and install it into a PC...I get a blinking cursor and nothing else. I can take out the HD and stick the reference copy into the PC and it works fine. The PCs are identical with identical BIOS settings. Has anyone seen this? If it matters its a Logicube Omniclone 5xi device. Thanks for any help!

Then you didn't clone it correctly. I suspect you cloned the partition only.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

I don't think you will be able to get a cloned Vista HD to work on another machine , They are not the same , the CPU Mobo both have unique serial numbers .
