I have bought a larger and faster hardrive for my notebook computer, on this computer I have a recovery drive "D" that is on a seperate partition,I have configured the partitions with the recovery partition the same size as the one on the original hardrive, I have tried to clone the original drive and recovery drive onto the new hardrive with no success I tried several programs that advertised 15 day trials also Adonis image drive and Norton ghost with the intention of buying whichever one worked only none of them worked can anyone give me any suggestions please?I could use the larger drive as an external drive but that was not the idea of buying it I wanted a larger hardrive and use the original drive as an external drive

Might need to know more.
Most of the trials are not full products, they only save the data.
Both ghost and acronis are pretty good but may have some limits to what you need.
What kind of errors do you get?

You need to CLONE the whole drive, not piecemeal, most drive manufacturers offer this software, otherwise this is one of many:

You need to have both drives accessable, I always use a USB Caddy for the new drive, and find proportional partition size works well. If not to alter partition size after CLONING, then us EaseUS Free Partition Manager....
