I have an Acer Aspire notebook with Vista that I bought in January of 07. It's started to lose time. I'll sync the clock or set it and minutes later it's a minute slow or two minutes slow. It's 7 AM now and my clock reads 1:46 AM. I'm not very computer savvy so small words, please. =0)

*I should mention that this happens while the computer is plugged in and on and when it's unplugged and off.

I haven't done anything that I know of. I don't even know how to change BIOS settings.

I've read some other topics that say it's like a watch battery by the motherboard. I took my old pc apart and replaced cards and ports, but I've never worked on a notebook.
