I have a LightScribe DVD+-RW drive. I have not been able to burn any files, folders, photos, etc to the DVD's or CD's. Is it as simple as it must be an RW DVD or CD only? I have used DVD+R and CD-R - both did not work.

I must ask the obvious, are you using the proper Lightscribe disks?

You don't have to use only Lightscribe discs. Those drive also will burn non-Lightscribe discs.

I have several software - Roxio, etc and none of them work. The computer says it is a LightScribe DVD+-RW drive. I have tried Memorex LightScribe DVD+R and Memorex CD-RW...Is the fix as simple as using RW's only??

Can you write on the blank CD or DVD media by dragging and dropping the file or folder on the DVD-RW drive ?

i have the same problem, open your task mamager and see if the IMAPI.EXE process is running, if is not try opening it by clicking open and type in imapi.exe. if its not found you have to reinstall or repair with the vista disc, if your like me you have no disk and will have to use your recovery disks to bring it back to the way you brought it home
