Subject: cd rom says application not foundOS: vista 32-bitCPU/Ram: 2.8/1 gigModel/Manufacturer: Compaq |
Comment: When I insert a CD, it will bring up WMP. If I right click on the CD and go to Autoplay, select WMP, WMP comes up. If I double click on the CD rom drive or right click it and go to play it gives me the error "application not found". I have made sure that AutoPlay settings are enabled in the control panel. Anyone else experience this?

Reply: (edit)I finally figured it out! I went into the registry with regedit. I browsed Computer\HKEY_Current_USER\Software\Classes\AudioCD\shell\Play\command and changed the default key to C:\Progam Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe and all is well again.
