I recently had to have hard my computer reformatted, and vista was reinstalled. Since then, it does not recognise when i put my xd card into the built in card reader. Is there anything i can do? I dont want to let it go back to the shop, cause im travelling in vietnam, and it was very difficult to find a computer place

Also, you might go in to Device Manager, remove any instance of the card reader, re-boot and see if Windows will recognize it and install it's own drivers. Don't squat with your spurs on!

Thankyou both for your answers. While I was waiting, i ended up doing a google search for "card reader stopped working after reinstalling vista", and i was lead to another discussion forum... i followed those prompts, and went to my laptops website (acer) and downloaded the appropriate driver. Thanks for your help :)
