I have Windows Vista. I updated to "Internet Exp. 8" yesterday I had 7.
I keep getting a box that comes up on the screen saying: "A website wants to open web content using this program csc.exe". I first clicked "No". It still came back every few minutes. Then I clicked "No" and "Don't ask me again" as well as clicking the red box at the top corner. It still pops up. It did it on Internet 7 as well. I ran "Super Antispyware" and "Windows Advanced System Care".

The box also said it would open in "Protected Mode". I clicked that and it goes to the Help section in Vista.
I still can't understand how to fix it.
I checked your site which addresed other issues with exe files. I could not find a topic that adressed mine.
Any help would be appreciated.

csc.exe is the C# compiler executable.

I did a quick search on google. It said something about updating the .NET Framework.

I probably would go back to IE7.

I presume I can just go to Explorer 7 and download it without uninstalling 8? I can't find Internet 8 in my Control panel of programs.
Also, I have "Norton Internet Security" and my "Phising keeps disabling, even though I thought I disabled the one in IE 8.
Thanks.

If you have Norton, anything is possible. Run msconfig, go to the startup tab, disable all, click apply, reboot, click ok & see what happens.

I'm sorry but I need some more help please? I want to Uninstall "Internet Explorer 8" and Reinstall 7. In "add/remove programs", I can't find it. Is it under another name. There is no Microsoft Icon.

Also when I click on a Program, two boxes come up. One says "Search Settings 1.21". The second Box says "Search Settings will now close all instances of Internet Explorer before continuing" I have a choice to click on Continue or on Cancel. Is this supposed to happen?
When I got the computer a few months back, I was told that a Box would pop up saying "A Program needs your permission to continue". I had to choose Continue or Cancel.
I just wish I had a way to send a Snippet of my "Programs" in add/remove because I don't know what some of them are for.
Thanks, Pfitzy
