Cant start normally only safe mode

December 12, 2010 at 10:05:01
Specs: Windows Vista
I can not boot up my computer in normal mode...I try and my screen goes black and then a blue screen with words pops up for about .1 second and you have no time to read what it says...then it tries to re-boot again. The only way I can boot up is in Safe Mode which as you know limits what I can do. I have no sound, I can't print. Do I have a virus causing this or is something wrong with my computer???

Start off by pressing F8 a few times at boot til you get a menu similar to the 'safe mode' one, but select 'disable automatic restart on system failure' - this will let you see what the blue screen is saying.

Thank you for he reply...I actually did do that and it says that Windows detected a problem and shut down to prevent damage to my computer. Then it gave a bunch of mumbo jumbo computer lingo I do not understand at all.

So I don't know there's a problem with Windows I guess. Not sure what to do...I do not know anything about these things nor do I understand computer lingo.

sounds like what my PC did one year ago......

Why don't you install CCcleaner from Piriform? helped me take control of my PC again 0.0

Or why don't you install Ubuntu instead? I heard it was the best free OS so far
