Comment:

I was updating AVG on my sons computer which has not been updated in a long time. Before the update was finished my son stopped it and proceeded to use his computer. Now he cannot open anything he clicks on his desktop or access the internet. He is networked to my computer via wireless modem for his internet connection. When he tries to open anything he gets a number of different error messages, most say system file error and 1073741790 is just one of the numbers with the error messages. I did a system restore in safe mode and that didn't help. I tried to repair from the installation disk and that did nothing. I need advise what to do next. Thank You for any help you can give.
