Comment: Hi as of yesterday my computer got alittle bit slower in web page changes, So i figured I would run afew scans, check for errors etc. No viruses, spyware was clean but still slow. I heard if u run in safe mode u mite have better chance at detecting them, so I tried to run in safe mode at which the computer would not load in safe mode. I remember i had the same problem previously and was able to access it through Dell's assistance. I ran chkdsk /f it started scanning on next startup. Did 1-4 steps fine, but the 5th one took forever soo I restarted the computer. It kept starting up and running the scan that i didnt want to wait for in the first place, took 2 hours to get to 18% on the 5th step. Well after having it start in that chkdsk screen for about 3-4 restarts, next time i started it up I got a blue screen, soo restarted and another blue screen. The blue screen always comes up even when I try to run in safe mode or any of the other options when I press f8. Been trying all day yesterday and still nothing. Blue screen always comes up even in last known good config too. Conveniently my warranty to dell ran out at the beginning of this month, and I do not have a XP Home edition CD, so needless to say it looks like im screwed! If anyone could help me it would be very greatly appreciated. Thanks, Brian
