Okay, so I got this avi, when I do a *.avi search of my computer comes up as being on my desktop. I go look at my desktop, and its definately not there, when I select properties of this file, it says 0 bytes when I scroll over to the details tab it says 65.7 MB. When I try to delete it it says, that file is not there would you like to try again or cancel. Same for renaming, unlocking, fileassasinating, or deleting it from command prompt. Any suggestions?

It’s a long shot but remember you have two Desktop folders:
Go to Start, type Shell:Desktop and press Enter. Go to Start, type Shell:Common Desktop and press Enter.
Has the file appeared?
