Comment: Hi, I bought a D-Link DI-524 router some time ago and have been using it with a desktop PC and several laptops (all running Windows XP) connected wirelessly through the router. I recently purchased a new comptuer and it came with Windows Vista. The SSID shows on the wireless network list with excellent strength but, I have not been able to connect to the internet and get the following message: "Wireless Associate failed because Windows did not receive any response from the wireless router or access point" Please let me know what options there are to make this work. I understand that getting a firmware upgrade for the DI-524 router might help but, I have heard nothing but complaints about how this stops the router from working all together. Is this the only solution? Does anyone know how to fix this? Please let me know. Thank you very much in advance.

Reply: (edit)The DI-524 uses the "g" wirless and your laptop uses the "N" wirelss, try it on a wireless "N" router or access point and see if it works.
