Specs: Windows 7
hello, everytime i try to boot the OEM cd iget a countdown and then windows loads what do I do?

reason for windows reinstall lost admin password

The countdown is usually because the system is waiting for you
to press a key to let it boot from the CD. Have you tried
pressing 'any key' or have you got a USB keyboard?

Guess you could also consider resetting or finding the password.

Thanks for your help. I have tried to press all of the keys on the
keyboard, don't make much sense i guess. I wish i knew how to
reset the admin password , cant figure that out either

I doubt you made a password reset disk like MS thinks everyone ought to know about. (no one does)

There are plenty of web pages devoted to how to recover or how to reset a vista password. Pick one and try it.

They are bootable cd's or floppies that can either discover the password or simply reset it.

Be warned that if you have any encrypted folders you may not want to reset it just yet. You may wish to even pay for support. Logonrecovery is both free if you want to wait and for pay if you need it right away.
