Hi to all,

For your information the Canon scanner LIDE 25 (and possibly others) model does not work under VISTA SP1. VISTA SP1 will never acknowledge the proper driver.

I had to re-install an image of my C disk made before installing SP1. Thanks MS !

Hi XpUser,

Of course, I tried to install the latest driver, which works perfectly with VISTA, but which does NOT work when SP1 is installed.

In fact, when you plug in the scanner, VISTA SP1 Ttries to install the driver, but never finds it, neither on C: disk nor on the internet, not on the Canon supplied CD.

Anyway, I switched back to pre SP1 VISTA and enjoy a perfectly working scanner.

Cheers, Claude.
