Comment:

Is there a way to get a Canon BJC 70 to work on Vista? My printer is connected through a Targus docking station because my notebook does not have a parallel port. Available drivers do not appear to be "Vista friendly." Is there a work around? Or perhaps there is a generic driver that will work?

About time for a new printer, the cost of replacement cartridges alone will buy you a new one.
It was a good printer, but the new ones from Canon are cheaper and better, have USB connections and Vista drivers.

you have two options:

1.) Get a new printer. A decent one too. If you only use black and white or can afford to be rid of color printing, go laser. you'll nver want to go back.

2.) Get windows xp back on that machine. lets face it: xp is leaner and faster, and will work with your printer. and trust me, new printers aren't made as well as the old ones were. i had a canon black and white buble jet that lasted years and years. i only replaced it because i wanted to try color printing for once. got some crappy hp that lasted all of 1 year and a motor burned out. :|

so. either way will cost $100 more or less. but if you already have xp on a disk somewhere, go for it :)

Do not try. Do, or do not. There is no try.

You were all wrong, hehe :P
Yes, there is a way to make it work, I´ve done it right now: install cannon crivers for Canon BJC-80. Test page printed pretty well. :)
