So I reinstalled Vista, and managed to get all the needed drivers from the HP site. (HPDV6700). The only one I am still having difficulty with is the Ethernet Controller. I tried all the network drivers, and the computer up to this point still says that I do not have any drivers for the Ethernet card. I have searched this and many other sites, and still no success.

If anyone can point me in the right direction with which drivers to download, or someone with a similar problem who got it resolved can chime in, it will be much appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know where to find the driver but I can offer a work around. I had a similar problem with a Lenovo laptop. I uninstalled Vista and installed FreeBSD. It didn't support the NIC, so I bought a USB to cat5 adapter from Radio Shack. Trendnet TU2-ET100 for under $30 with tax.
