Might work if you have a high enough version.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

There may still be parts of the program remaining. Is it listed in installed programs? If it is, try uninstalling it. If that doesn’t work, the next step is risky. Start regedit. First, back up your registry and then delete all references to the program that you can find in the registry. (This takes a while). In windows explorer, open program files and delete the folder that the program was in. Then try installing the program again.

hmm

i reccommend 7-zip

its like winrar.
it can password protect files and also it compresses them 2% better than any other including winrar and winzip.
and its completely free at www.7-zip.com
