Hi to all, I am currently running Vista SP2 but the issue was the same with SP1 (installed by HP at pruchase time). I can never access successfully to windows update catalog to update my MS Office suite. I constantly get the error code 0x80070002 solutions proposed by MS do not work. Can anybody help ? Thanks in advance - Claude

Hi mavis007, Thanks for your reply. I know this KB article, unfortunately I could never implement the solution it proposes, as I cannot rename or delete folder c:\windows\softwaredistribution Although I have an administrator profile, Vista refuses to modify this folder because of insufficient rights. Do you know how to overcome this issue ? Thanks in advance. Claude

Hi mavis007, Finally, I could delete the softwaredistribution folder after a cold reboot, but it does not change anything. Anyway, I can survive... I downloaded Office service packs directly from the microsoft site. Still many thanks anyway. Claude
