Solved can only upload file, turn folder into file

March 12, 2015 at 06:57:59
Specs: Windows Vista
I wish to upload a folder that has many files but I seem to only be able to upload files. How can I upload the entire folder in one step. I know I can create a zip file of the folder but is there another way as I don't want the data compressed.

There seem to be upload websites that will accept folders if you Google around:

I guess you have your reasons but I've not found that zip and unzip changes the data.

What kind of files are they? You can make a PDF that can hold multiple items if they are compatible with the PDF format.

I've looked into the other services and for one reason or another they won't let me upload a complete folder, either my browser is wrong (Google drive), software won't work(outlook live drive) or some other reason. I've not tried box yet. I decided to use the zip method and hope not to lose any data. I'm worrying about data corruption as I'm uploading back ups of many different extension types and I don't know which are effect by compression. It just seems there should be an easy method but I guess I'll have to wait a few more years. I help a number of elderly people maintain computers and it is nice to be able to back up, in a speedy fashion, their important data on line free.

I thank you very much for your response and time.

I thank you for your time and response.
I am backing up Firefox profile files that will save passwords, log-ins passwords, book marks and such. Also photos, text, projects and any other thing a person would miss if their hard drive failed. It is the easiest way for me to help others and it is free, Google and outlook(live mail) offer lot of space with each acct. I set up computer illiterate people with computers and internet, mainly the elderly and then help them maintain it. I've found it very helpful to back up what I mentioned above, but I need it a speedy fashion. I've decided to zip the items until Google or live mail get their folder uploading working well.
Thank You for your time.
