|Yesterday my PC crashed and now I can only use it in Safe Mode. I have been through the Windows self repair program which has done nothing. The first time it happened, it allowed me to start from a system restore point, but then it crashed again and now doing a system restore doesn't even let me start up windows normally.|
I looked in the "device manager" driver section and it has an exclamation mark next to the "Consumer IR Devices" in the "System Devices" section and It says: "This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)"
"Driver Provider: Microsoft"
"Driver Version: 6.0.6001.18000"
I click on "check for solutions" it doesn't do anything, and I have tried uninstalling and restarting the computer, and also the "update driver" option but it says windows has determined it is up to date.
Does anyone have any solutions for this? I have been googling for a solution for hours and haven't came across any solutions, apart from that it could potentially be to do with video card/drivers or RAM.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Windows Vista, Home Premium, Service pack 2 - 32 Bit
Philips Freevents, (desktop PC)
Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 2.40 GHz
