Recently, I had become so fed up with my PC that I recovered it back to the factory settings. Before doing that I burned my music files, photos and documents onto standared DVD-R discs using Roxio Creator Basic v9 using the data CD option. I've done this before every now and then to have them on file incase of an emergency and have been able to access the information on them. Now that I've reinstalled itunes on my system, I've tried to reload my files onto the pc and the DVD drive is saying that there are no files on these discs when they've clearly been burned. I've even been able to play the music ones in other devices (cd players and xbox) so I know that the files are on them. Even the photo disc shows that there is space being taken up but no files appear. How do I access these files? They are my only backups. Help!!!!

On another note, I tried the discs in my husbands Powerbook
(a MAC) and was able to view/listen/access all of the files
with out and issues. I just don't get this.

Are you able to view files from other dvd's? maybe a faulty drive.
Try copying the files from the dvd on the Powerbook to a usb stick and then back to your hdd.
