Hi, I just bought the new LG 24" ACL monitor and plugged it into my laptop(HP Pavilion 2.20 GHz and 2 GB of RAM). It's working perfectly exept that when I clik on Start - Sleep to put my laptop on sleep the monitor puts itself on power saving mode(wich is great) but the laptop keeps running.

The background of the laptop becomes black and I tried pressing keys and everything but my monitor stays on power saving mode and my laptop is running with a black screen on. I have to shutdown my laptop manually.

It wasn't doing that with my other monitor. And its doing the same thing when I clik on Start-Hibernate

How do you hook your notebook to your new monitor ? via HDMI cable, VGA cable, or else ?

Could you raise a question about the problem to HP support people ?

Visit your graphic card/chipset maker's website and look for a solution there or visit HP support forums.
