|It's quite a common problem reported with Acer laptops. I'd imagine the fault is either with your hard disk drive itself, or the controller on your laptop's motherboard - which would basically mean needing a new laptop if it's the latter!|
Make sure that the HD is correctly mounted and that it's not a physical related error.
Are you able to run any diagnostic tools on the computer or are you locked out completely?
