Hi, at work, we have an infected computer with Brontok, we´d liko reformatt, I am installing XP now, but went i backed up my Docs & Pics the virus went along with them. Is there a way to back up this two folder and reinstalled them to the new SO without infecting it?? I put them in a DVD, by the way when backed up.

You have to be very careful with any removable media. Everything from cd's to usb flash can have that or other virus's.

First part is to use a good AV program to isolate the virus even if on the drive. Most common business files will not contain any virus. The file normally needs to be executable or part of an executable such as a dll.
