bit long winded but here goes

went to do a format which i have done at least 10 times before on this pc

boot to dvd and install vista all fine install antivirus and updates reboot no problem

but when ever i take the vista disc out the drive windows wont boot
first i got an error bootmgr is missing or corrupt
tried chkdsk /r and bootrec /fixboot seemed to work but got new error
"disc boot failure insert system disc and press enter"
when i do it just repeats the error

as vista only seems to do a very quick format i then installed a xp disc and did the full format and swapped discs when the reboot happened and did a vista format and instal
but still no joy

i can get windows to start by putting the vista disc in and then i get choose operating system to start (both are vista) just select the first one and its no problem
not sure how to delete the second one.

ok to delete the first download Easybcd and launch it, on the entries tab you should see two entries for vista, delete the appropriate one.
