Comment: i clicked drive d in xp and format win vista now every time my pc start or reboot boot manager ask me u want to run vista or xp i already select xp under win xp operating selection but i think i had to select xp under vista but too late i deleted it what should i do now when my pc is off and i turn it on same boot manager come on screen and ask me but my keyboard wont work i have to reboot again to make key board to work plz help

Reply: (edit)You are screwed now. You must either reinstall XP or Vista. If you reinstall Vista you need to go to the My computer properties, a window will open up, click the advanced button, click the advanced tab, look for startup and recovery,(it should be the 3rd one down) click settings, change the default operating system to earlier version of windows and set the time to display operating systems to 1 sec. The other option I have to you is to backup your data and reinstall XP.

Reply: (edit)The vista install made backups of the mbr and boot.ini files in the old c drive.. See if you can put them back with the PE on vista cd. The live cd part is hard to get I think but boot from dvd and use the live enviroment.
