Hi, I have been having a serious problem with my computer. I will start Windows Vista, it shows the loading progress bar, then some disk check screen, but after it goes away, and before the logon screen is shown, it shows the Blue Screen of Death. It says "STOP: C0000102." "The file or directory C:\WINDOWS\winsxs\Manifests is corrupted and unreadable. Please run the chkdsk utility". I have it set up in a dual-boot configuration with Fedora 7 Linux. I tried booting into safe mode, but I got a different STOP error: "STOP: C000021A {Fatal System Error}. The Windows NT Inital Command Process system process terminated unexpectatly with a status code of 0xc0000001" When I rebooted it said Windows was unable to start and there was an option to repair the computer, but when i clicked it, it sent me back to the boot menu. The last time I booted Windows Vista was a few days ago (I have been away since then), but I can remember I installed my USB Bluetooth adapter (I know somthimes these things can be caused by hardware installations), although it is not connected when I get the BSOD. Whats wrong?

I tried allowing the chkdsk program to run (it started telling me dirve C needed to be checked for consistency), now I dont get a BSOD I used to get that said a file is corrupted, but now I get a BSOD that says: "STOP: C000021A. The NT Inital Command Processor system process terminated unexpectatly with a status code of 0xC0000001". How do I fix this?

You might want to look at
http://www.msghelp.net/showthread.p... which mentions that there is a error in memory block c000021a. MS has http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...

If possible, let us know if this response was helpful or if you need further advice.
