Black & Yellow Screen

Help please. We bought our daughter a laptop for college.
The first time she played with it, she was playing games and the screen went black, all she could do was a hard reboot. (And it was plugged in).
I've had IT guys look at it and change the "SLEEP" setting, but even after that it does the same thing. Just goes BLACK and you cannot do anything but hold down the power button for a few seconds and then it'll turn off.
Also, I went to look at the time settings, acted like I changed something and hit OK, I then got a YELLOW screen and I couldn't do anything but hold down the power button to turn it off.
Can anyone suggest anything else I could try before calling Toshiba and causing a stir?!
Thank you!

Sounds like something is wrong with the wiring of the screen, something may possibly be loose. If you are still under warranty I would say Do NOT open up the laptop and try to fix it your self call Toshiba first.

That's what I was afraid of! No matter what I've done to the laptop the screen still goes black, but I can see that it is still powered on, but cannot get the screen to come back up and/or pressing any sort of Ctrl+Alt+Delete or ANYTHING will work!

Thanks for your comments/reply!
