Unless you are addressing a specific on going issue which you are absolutely certain is the cause, I would not flash the bios. For example you put a new CPU in it, and the bios cannot recognize the new cpu, that may require a bios flash/upgrade. However if anything goes wrong during the upgrade you could end up with a motherboard that no longer works. So if you are doing this because it sounds right to always have current version of things...Don't, its better to leave it alone! If you have an issue and the bios upgrade says it specifically fixes that issue then ok. Flashing the bios is done rarely for the above reason.
