Are there any programs for vista like partition magic back in the day for win98? Something that can change partitions on the fly while keeping the data in the drive that its partitioning intact? I want to shrink a partition by 10 gigs and create a new partition out of the unused space on my USB external hard drive and make it a bootable partition with an ISO of win7, so I can just boot from USB.
"while keeping the data in the drive that its partitioning intact?" No garantees, there is always risk involved with doing this sort of thing.

Why not just get a 4gb usb flash drive, they cost very little.

open computer management>disk management and choose the drive you want to change, right click and shrink partition. vista will tell you how much allocated storage it will allow you to shrink, then format that partition. if you need more assistance contact me directly at builttolast3@gmail.com
