Curious what you think the best manufacturer of anti-virus software is for an HP laptop with Vista ?

the best anti virus protection is common sense. i just love these 'polls' :) "Viruses, malware and assorted script kiddery, hacking and cracking are within the demesne of some of the most odious weasels that have ever walked the Earth. You are probably right The_Oracle but common sense does not protect you from those insidous little buggers that creep in under cover of innocent emails that your pal sends you (and he's not aware he has done it.) By the way what is WSJ (I am going to "strike forehead" and say "of course" when you tell me.) Once I thought I was wrong, now I'm not so sure!

I suggest Grisoft's AVG or Avast, I have used them for years and they are both FREE. They work great on Vista. Whatever you do don't get McAffee or Norton, they are resource hogs. Thanks, REMGU

Ahhh... being on the other side of the world WSJ didn't ring a bell. Had you said ASX the penny would have dropped. Once I thought I was wrong, now I'm not so sure!
