Hi, I'm trying to get the first 7 characters in all the files of a given folder, and output them in a text file, like:

heresafile.txt
andanother.txt

output:
heresaf
andanot

Thanks

I guess you could install the posix command head and do it that way.

Could write a basic program to take the variable filled with each.

Bet if you asked the user Nails he's have a winner.
