Apparently, the command prompt included with Vista doesn't support UNC paths. I've got a login script (batch file) that works with XP that copies a file from a shared network location to the local PC, but the script will not work on the Vista PCs. I've tried looking for a basic copy and paste visual basic script, but for some reason I'm having a heck of a time finding one. Anyone know where I can get it, or at least, the code to create my own script?

Not true.

Thanks for the reply! :)
When my batch file runs on a Vista PC, I get a message that UNC paths are not supported, and that the path was not found. I've verified that the source and destination paths are correct. If Vista Business supports UNC paths in command prompt, why do I get the path cannot be found errors?
Again, thanks for the reply!

Haven't run such batch files within Vista yet, so I don't know.
This forum thread suggests an add-in that provides support for UNC in Vista 32-bit.

I just know that I can browse stuff using Vista by typing \\computername\sharename, so there has to be compatibility somewhere.
