Comment:

Just installed Vista Ultimate and have installed AVG 7.5 which Maximum PC stated would work with Vista. All went well (updates, virus check, registration, etc.) but when I restarted Vista I received a message that AVG wasn't recognized (not sure that is the exact message) and it did not show as functioning in the tray. I went to start-all programs-found AVG and it started up and shows in the tray as active. Is there anything other I need to do in order to make this function or will I have to wait for a update.

I'm running a dual boot with XP but know I need virus protection as I begin to work with Vista.

Any and all suggestions would sure be appreciate.

The question is it working or is it not working?

Make sure you have the latest build installed.

Make sure you do not have any left over from other AV tools conflicting with AVG.

Make sure the program (AVG) was installed & set to run with administrative priviledges.

Good luck!

Re #1. I might have got this wrong but the MS link refers to "AVG Anti-Spyware". The poster appears to be referring to "AVG Anti-Virus".
