Hello,
I got a knew laptop for Christmas (a sony Vaio). Everytime I try and look at my e-mails on aol.com it always freezes/not reponding. I do my usual thing by going into aol.com, e-mail, put my e-mail address and password in, it loads and then it freezes and I dont know if I have mail because it just says Loading.

What is this all about? I am using BT internet and go through Internet Explorer to access the internet.

Cheers,
Jonny

You could try another browser like Firefox!
With any problem like this the first thing to do is to delete ALL temp internet files, you can do this from Internet Options.
Do you have any toolbars installed? If so, uninstall them, these are well known to cause problems!
Lastly, if these fail, reset Internet Explorer, again from Internet Options. In the Internet Properties window, click Advanced tab look to the bottom and you will see reset. Click it and confirm you want to do this.
Reset returns IE to its 'shipped' state. Hope one of these work! I have AOL too and have no problems, so its not the AOL service.

I am using vista and have no problems with aol.com and logging in for my e-mail, no freezing or anything so don't know what to tell you. Haven't done it in a while and just tried and it's fine here, also tried from sons laptop with vista and that was fine. I prefer to use windows mail to send and receive my AOL mail so you might consider doing that. It's so much easier than using webmail. If you don't know how to set it up here it is step by step. It's the same as settting it up in outlook and outlook express. Mary

I have the same problem with my aol mail with explorer. I have a sony vaio all in one. Ever since it was new it has frozen up when trying to access my aol mail on explorer. I downloaded Firefox and it works fine. The only problem is sometimes you find a site that firefox cant run and then you have to switch back to explorer, but that is just a inconvience I have to live with. I just chocked it up to crappy Vista bugs..
