I recently purchased an HP laptop with Vista installed. I downloaded AOL, but was not able to get AOL to function properly. I first downloaded AOL 9.5, then tried 9.1, then tried 9.5Beta (Refresh) all had the same issues. I can sign on, but got booted after a few minutes. PC would not reconnect to my network, had to reset router. Uninstalled and took the PC back to the store - too bad. I have a G Linksys router. Any suggestions? Thanks very much, Rose

I appreciate your response. I want to make sure before I go back to the store and buy another. Does 64 bit Vista have anything to do with my previous issues? Just dont want to go back and buy it and have the same frustrating issues. Again, thanks very much!!

No Vista 64-bits has nothing to do with it as far as the system requirements cited HEREIN indicates. What is at issue here is that AOL 9.1 & 9.5 Beta for some reasons cause more problems. By installing AOL 9.0 VR the problems disappeared.

Yes you need to install that version of AOL. My son runs it on vista and has done so for 2yrs. with no AOL problems at all. I also had it on the desktop with vista and it worked fine but took it out since I don't need the AOL browser, only needed to keep my AOL e-mail address to use. Mary
