I am writing for my husband who is 99% NON computer literate...He says all of a sudden a pop-up came...it calls itself Antivirus 2008...it's driving him NUTS...It is not listed in programs to add/remove...it is not listed when he does a search, except for a shortcut...is there a way to DELETE this and find where it even came from? thank yoU!

its so easy to remove it / start,run,type msconfig, enter,mark selective startup ,click on services,mark down the words- Hide all Microsoft services- , then leave V only on your antivirus (if it avg8 so avg8 ,if node32 or kaspwrsky-Kav norton-ccapp ecc,then click on startup-there leave V only on your antivirus ,ctfmon, then ,apply, ok, restart computer , after computer come up , mark V on the message that comeup.then download Ccleaner from here- http://filehippo.com/download_cclea... and clean all the garbage from your computer , you can do it twice a week. good luck.
