My routine MalwareBytes Anti-Malware scan decided %systemroot%\system32\msconfig.exe was a trojan and deleted it. How can I restore the file - I don't see it in my Vista DVD, no cab files or similar folders to restore from. I'm leary of using system restore based on past bad experiences. Thanks.

Thanks Seabee - it worked! Duh... why didn't I think of that? You must select "Run as Administrator" when you execute the utility or it won't work.

BTW - I unsuccessfully tried to run msconfig.exe that I copied from a 64 bit Windows 2008 server - I got "not a valid win32 application"
