Hi, ive got Vista Ultimate installed and im having a problem with my graphics.
I have an ATI 9600xt card, when i installed vista i installed the grx drivers off the CDROM, they installed fine and they ran ok, however when i tried to update my 'score' so vista would enable the nice grx i got a blue screen:
ati3duag.dll PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGE_AREA
I looked on auto updates and there was one there for my graphics card, i thought this was the end of it but when i installed the updated drivers from microsoft and restarted i get some error:
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
I click on 'Check online for solution' it comes up with a progress bar 'Checking...' then just dissapears!
This is so frustrating! I dont understand why im having so much trouble with the stupid graphics, everything else works fine, does anybody have any suggestions? (Appeart from install XP)
Thanx!

Did you try installing the latest drivers from ati for Vista?
As of April 18th, 2007
Catalyst® 7.4
Radeon 9600 series Vista 32bit

Radeon 9600 series Vista 64bithttp://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/...
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ OC 2.7ghz
4GB Dual Channel DDR 3200
Nvidia 7900GT
SATA II 2x 300gig 7200rpm 16mb cache RAID-0+1
Gigabyte Nforce 4 SLI

Yes i did but since i installed the updated onces from microsoft i just get a yellow (!) next to the drivers in device manager and:
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
The only drivers that work are the ones off the driver CD i got with the grx card but then there must be something wrong with them since i get a blue screen when i go to refresh my 'score'.
Regards.

You may have corrupted driver files that weren't uninstall or overwriten when you install these drivers again.
Uninstall whatever you have in there and downlaod Driver cleaner pro, then go in there and select your gpu's namebrand and place it in the add box and then click remove.

Try installing the drivers from ati again.AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ OC 2.7ghz

Hi, thanks for that program (its pretty decent) although since i used it and removed all ATI drivers and references from the registry, when i try to install the drivers from ATI again i get the error:
Driver Install: the INF file was not found
And now it wont install them at all, it just finishes after saying that. I feel as though im getting more and more annoyed at this stupid problem, why didnt the update from microsoft work? It's obvious that they must know about this problem to bring an update out and that STILL doesent work.

I just managed to install the drivers via device manager and the predictable happend - Still not working, same as before. I'm not gonna this working am i?
Argh!

Your best bet at this point is to contact microsoft and ati and tell them that you are having driver install problems with both of there drivers and see what they say.
I mean it's either that, or a reformat and i don't think you would want to reformat the pc just to find out that these drivers still may not work, but then again if you run into a dead end, then you may have to just to see if something in windows were corrupted from preventing you from installing these files.

Why not run a checkdisk before you move on to something else. Maybe there are some defective sectors/clusters on your hdd.
