all icons changed to powerpoint

Specs: Windows Vista
Hi,

All desktop and start menu icons ahve changed to powerpoint. Also system restore ison has changed. I can open them all using 'open with' but want to know how to change them back?
I'm not that great with computers either is there anything simple I can do?

Carla, First double click the zip file you downloaded to unzip it then right click the .reg file and choose "Merge".

when i double click it there is no option to unzip it just tries to open the file with powerpoint

Carla, Try right clicking the Zip file and choose "Extract" and see if it extracts the reg file. If it doesn't go back to that link and download the zip file association fix which is a reg file. Save it to your desktop, right click it and choose Merge. This should fix your zip file association and you should then be able to unzip the other fix.

Hi thanks for the help. Now my icons open with the correct programme when I click on them but the icon picture still stays as a powerpoint picture. When I try and change this on properties it doesn't worlk. Any ideas?
