Click the Start orb in Vista simply type program in the "Start Search" field, Vista will populate all possible permutation for that word "program" including "Programs & Features" which is what you are looking for. All this takes about 2-3 seconds tops.

It's in Control panel labeled as PROGRAMS AND FEATURES.

Sabertooth I tried your tip - it just won't do. Am I missing something?

In any event the path to quickly access Vista Add/Remove programs is cumbersome (Why did M$ redesigned it is beyond me). See the link beloww ...

Better yet just add shortcuts with the following commands:

For Programs and Features (Add or remove programs):
%windir%\system32\control.exe /name
(notice the space /name)

For Windows features:
%windir%\system32\OptionalFeatures.exe

XpUser,

That Vista "Start Search" tool works wonders on this machine. It put my programs & tons of other stuff right at my fingertips.

I don't know why it doesn't work for you, but I'm thinking maybe you do not have the "search programs" option enabled in your Start Menu properties. You could check that.

Good luck!

D'uh - I was using Classic Start menu - no wonder why I couldn't find it! Thanks :-) BTW I think you will like the two shortcuts posted earlier.
