Acer keyboard not working

spilled soda on my acer extensa 5620z keyboard. Some of the keys do not work at all others if you type r you get rg if you type 2 you get F2 function key. ect. I have replaced the keyboard and it still does the same thing.

Have you used an external keyboard, because you mentioned, that you have replaced the keyboard.

No I did not use the usb keyboard but will. I just would prefer to keep the computer as portable as possible.

Yes I purchased a new keyboard and replaced the old one with the new one. So I am afraid it is not a keyboard problem unless it could be the programming maybe a driver?

I doubt it. Spilled soda especially cola are very acidic, and can corrode the electronic parts under the keyboard. If you still have problem with it, take it to an authorized Acer service center.

Yepp, fully agreed.
If there is any kind of liquid inside the notebook on the mainboard, there is no chance.
It has to be opened, cleaned and dried and hopefully, nothing is out of order.
