Acer 5220 Factory Settings! (vista) Help!

October 8, 2010 at 01:33:13
Specs: Windows Vista
I really need some help restoring my laptop to factory settings. (I am not very experienced with computers)
I my laptop crashes (blue screen) when it loads up so i cannot get into my files.
But i can get to the acer load up screen and start up repair and start windows normally(<- which gives me blue screen).
Start up repair gives me 5 options, none of which are helpful as i have no backup disk and no system restore dates..The start up repair itself also doesnt work and says something like 'cannot repair this computer automatically'.. apparently the 'root cause' is that my 'system volume is corrupt'.
I have booted from the windows vista recovery dvd- no help there..
I have also tried Alt-F10 but it always says D2D32 'type mismatch'. Apparently, its something to do with a hidden partition??

Any help would be MUCH appreciated! I need my laptop for my studies!! Thanks!
