I am a user of Windows Vista Ultimate version
I was trying to change the theme of my computer and got to the part where i had to replace the shell32.dll that was in my computer already with the new shell32.dll.
So, i changed the existing shell32.dll to shell32.old and replaced it with the new shell32.dll.
After i rebooted my computer, I started to get these errors saying that "this application has failed to start because SHELL32.dll was not found"
How should i fix my computer?
I already tried to reboot it in safe mode. made the same error, because it has failed to find SHELL32.dll.
Tried to do a system restore using the command prompt in safe mode but also failed because SHELL32.dll is missing.
I also do not have any recovery CD's or any CD's involving the installation of Windows Vista Ultimate.
So, is it impossible that i will fix my computer?
Can i have some answers ASAP?

You may have to contact the manufacturer of your PC for a recovery DVD or borrow a Vista DVD from a friend and try your luck with it. You may try repair install of Vista after you start your system with the borrowed Vista DVD.

Hi, I got this Windows Vista Ultimate Installation CD that must go to my computer -> then run the CD. However as i mentioned before, i cannot start up the Windows because of the SHELL.dll Problem.
So is there a way to run the disk without running windows?

You boot in with the Vista dvd and choose repair installation.
