Comment:

I have 4GB of RAM on my machine and Vista (32bit) is only reporting 2GB. I know that 32 bit OS will not show all 4GB (at least XP wouldn't) but shouldn't it report 3.5GB or something along those lines?

This is by default - you can google up "the /3GB switch" & bump this up hopefully to 3.2GB, but you'll need to be running 64-bit version of Vista if you desire Windows to enumerate the correct 4GB memory size.

Read the MS Support.
Decided to remove I meg of ram from the 4 meg installed.
Going on the principle that there may be a negative result of having 4 meg, have removed as above.
I was preparing the comp for Vista, which I belive from my readings is 'Memory Hungry'.
Memory has not gone to waste, added to other comp. As always advice from Computing Net is a good help.
