i have a windows vista ultimate 64 bit operating system
it a excellent s/w with lodes of features but i have problem that i have a lot of software that are not compatible with this version of windows in the sence that they are designed t work on 32bit os
So please tell me weather is there any way i can run them on my existing qs or weather i need to swith to 32 bit os for them to work

You need to switch to 32-bit os for 32-bit applications to work.
BTW we do not recommend people buying 64-bit Vista yet due to lack of the availability of MANY applications written for it.

Most 32bit software will run in 64bit OSes in WOW mode which is a 32bit emulated enviorment that allows 32bit software to run on 64bit OSes. Both Vista and XP 64bit OSes support WOW. So you shouldn't have any problem running 32bit programs in a 64bit OS.
The problems that you are prob running into
is the Vista kernal structure that isn't allowing those 32bit programs to run peroid regardless if you are on a 64bit or 32bit Vista OS. A lot of older 32bit software isn't compatibile with Vista's kernal structure which is why many people that have older 32bit software have problems when installing older software onto Vista.I have ran many 5 year old 32bit programs on XP 64bit without any problem, but it's when I upgraded to Vista 64bit that's when a lot of those 32bit programs that ran on XP 64bit stopped working on Vista's 64bit. And, that all had to do with the Kernal structure that has changed in Vista since XP. I have an old regcleaner software that I love using and It worked great with XP 64bit but as soon as I installed it on Vista 64bit it gave me the same message you got.
