Specs: Windows Vista Home
Ok so on this laptop there is 1 physical NIC but it is pulling 2 IPv4 ip's but they are the same address. Now there was some third party softeware installed for a external USB NIC for a high gain antenna. I uninstalled that software and it worked for a time being. but everytime the laptop is restarted the "2nd" nic comes back into play. Is there some DLL files or some services/scrpits i need to delete or stop?

Also the reason that the NIC isn't working because there is an IP conflick on the network and i have already tried to change the IP to static instead of DHCP but still to no avail.

any ideas?

You have two nics if one is wired and one is wireless.

Simple right mouse click on the lan interface you don't want showing and select disable under control panel\network
